I guess I had high hopes for this book based on how much I enjoyed Ever and Ella Enchanted, but I just couldn’t stop picturing Fiona from Shrek as the ogre, which caused me to lose focus a lot. The plot was sadly predictable and I found myself skimming chapters just to get to the finish line. Swing and a miss.

I really loved this book. I loved the chapter names because they were like I become supreme lord of the bathroom and I accidentally vaporize my pre-algebra teacher.

This book was really good and the whole series is amazing.

The book was really good I could not put it down and almost every book and chapter left you on a cliff hanger making you want to read more. And some of the cliff hangers were literally cliff hangers.

Yep, this author CRUSHED IT!
I think if Calpurnia were alive today, she would probaby love country music.

When I think of Calpurnia, I think of strong, talented women who fight society’s perception of conformity.
What I loved about this book was the poetic writing. I found my self re-reading certain sentences just to savor them. The author obviously labored to use literary devices that made writing this an art form. Often times, while nothing particularly exciting going on, I was swept away by the humorous and relatable circumstances that defined Calpurnia’s story. I was sorry to finish this one, and I hope you read it and fall in love just like I did.

This book is awesome! It shows loyalty and bravery from someone who has been underestimated and proves they are worthy.

This is a truly “wicked” book!
This song highlights the hardships the main character, Christopher, experiences throughout thus book.
This book is a very suspenseful book, filled with plot twists and things you would never expect. It is an action and mystery book, but not in the normal way. It takes place in the 1600s in England. The main character, Christopher, is an apothecary’s apprentice. He has been terrified by the six murders that have recently occurred, because three of the killed were apothecaries. His master was probably one of the nicest masters in the apothecary’s guild, but one day that mysteriously changes. His master sends him away angrily to get an ingredient, and when he returns his life is changed forever. I don’t recommend this book for squeamish people, but it is a very good book that will have you on the edge of your seat until the end.

Because this girl is NOT THROWING AWAY HER SHOT!!!!!
This book is a classic retelling of both The Twelve Dancing Princesses, by the Brothers Grimm, PLUS Beauty and the Beast, by Gabrielle-Suzanne de Villeneuve. I have to admit that it felt a little slow in the middle but certainly regained my attention for the ending. If you’re looking for a classic read-alike, I think you’re going to like this one!

the main character is a strong and fast girl who runs on roof tops. So I substituted Rat for Violet Parr because she is also fast and strong
The series of three was so good I read it in 24 hours and had to beg friends to read faster to get it. The books were highly enjoyable. The main characters were so easy to love and relate to. Every teen would / should drop their screens or devices to read this wonderful book. l finished the last book in math class.
